PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will go up from midnight, with a 7-sen increase per litre for RON95 petrol, a 6-sen increase for RON97 and a 3-sen increase for diesel.
The price of RON95 will increase to RM2.31 from RM2.24, while the price of RON97 will go up to RM2.60 from RM2.54 previously.
The price of diesel meanwhile will increase to RM2.20 from RM2.17.
The new prices will be in effect from Nov 9 until Nov 15.
This was announced on the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry’s Twitter account and website on Wednesday evening.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect on March 29 this year. Prices of petrol and diesel were placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
