KUALA LUMPUR: Several areas in the Sepang and Kuala Langat districts will experience a two-day water supply disruption from 8pm on Nov 28 (Tuesday) to 5pm the next day.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), in a statement today, said the water supply disruption was due to replacement work of the equipment for the water distribution system at the Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) pond.
“Every effort will be taken to complete the work the soonest possible to ensure water supply to the affected areas can be restored earlier (than scheduled),” the statement said.
Among the affected areas in Sepang are Dengkil town, Taman Mesra Dengkil, Deluxe Commercial Centre in Dengkil, the Sepang Court, the Sepang Syariah Court in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, SMK Dengkil, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) campus in Dengkil, Taman Salak Perdana, Teluk Merbau Plantation and Kampung Sepang Kecil.
In Kuala Langat, the areas involved are Kampung Tali Air, Taman Kanchong Laut, Taman Pelangi, Taman Desa Permatang Jaya, Bedford Estate, Taman D’Menara, Kampung Batu Laut, Ladang Batu, Taman Langat Utama, Taman Sri Sawah, Kampung Chodoi and Jalan Raba Banting.
Syabas advises consumers to store adequate water and consume water prudently throughout the disruption period.
