KUCHING: The office of the Sarawak chief minister today issued a statement denying a Facebook post which quoted Abang Johari Openg as saying he had dissolved the Barisan Nasional coalition in Sarawak.
According to the statement, the Facebook post under the account, Borneo Voice, went viral.
It had reported the chief minister as saying: “I have no other choice but to dissolve the Barisan Nasional party in Sarawak and thereafter form a new state government.”
The statement said the post was being widely circulated in chat groups.
“The office wishes to clarify that the chief minister had never issued such a statement. The post is fake news fabricated by certain people for reasons best known to themselves,” it said.
