PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will go down for the second consecutive week with a 4-sen drop per litre for RON95 petrol and a 5-sen drop for RON97.
The price of diesel meanwhile will drop by 1 sen.
Effective midnight, the price of RON95 will drop to RM2.25 from RM2.29 per litre, while the price of RON97 will go down to RM2.52 from RM2.57 per litre previously.
The price of diesel will drop to RM2.20 from RM2.21 per litre.
The new prices will be in effect from Dec 14 to 20.
This was announced on the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry’s Twitter account and website on Wednesday evening.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect on March 29 this year. Prices of petrol and diesel were placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
