
After two weeks of reduction in prices, there is a 2-sen increase per litre for RON95 and RON97 petrol while the price of diesel is up by 3 sen.
The price of RON95 will go up to RM2.27 from RM2.25 per litre, while the price of RON97 will increase to RM2.54 from RM2.52 per litre previously.
The price of diesel is at RM2.23 from RM2.20 per litre.
The new prices will be in effect from Dec 21 to 27.
This was announced on the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry’s Twitter account and website on Wednesday evening.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect on March 29 this year. Prices of petrol and diesel were placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
