PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices will go up by 4 sen while diesel remains unchanged effective midnight.
The price of RON95 will increase to RM2.30 from RM2.26 per litre, while the price of RON97 will rise to RM2.57 from RM2.53 per litre previously.
The price of diesel remains unchanged at RM2.32 per litre.
The new prices will be in effect from Jan 18 to 24.
This was announced on the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry’s Twitter account and website on Wednesday evening.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect on March 29 last year. Prices of petrol and diesel were placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
