PETALING JAYA: Selangor Amanah said it has received an invitation from PKR’s Mohamed Azmin Ali to a meeting on allocation of seats in Selangor, days after the three-year old party disputed a claim that four such meetings had already taken place.
Selangor Amanah chief Izham Hashim said Azmin invited all parties from Pakatan Harapan (PH) for a meeting on Wednesday.
“It is our first meeting,” he told FMT.
He said the letter from Azmin stated that PKR has appointed four negotiators in the Selangor State Seat Allocation Committee.
“They have asked us to name our four negotiators,” said Izham, adding that his party would decide tonight on its negotiators.
Izham said among the four from PKR are its women’s wing chief Zuraida Kamaruddin, Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian and Subang MP R Sivarasa.
This comes after Amanah and DAP questioned a claim by Azmin that Pakatan Harapan (PH) was close to concluding seat negotiations.
They said that the meetings attended by PH parties were to discuss the coalition’s election strategy, and not over seats.
Meanwhile, Izham said Amanah had no problem if PKR was allocated more seats.
He also welcomed the latest development, saying it would allow PH parties to move forward.
