Don’t trust what you see online, says Rosmah

Rosmah Mansor says Barisan Nasional will work harder for the people if given the chance to rule again.

KUALA LUMPUR: Rosmah Mansor, the prime minister’s wife, has called on Malaysians to “follow the blue shirts”, as the general election draws near.

She made the rallying cry at a programme organised for members of the Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti)

“We (the blue shirts) are your friends, you have seen us and how we work. We would never cheat on you. Don’t trust what you read or watch online in sites such as Youtube,” she said.

“All they want is to knock down our husbands, our government and our leaders by attacking the wives.

“You know what I mean,” she said today at an event entitled “The Power of Knowledge”, held at Dewan Bangunan Bakti Siti Hasmah here today.

As the prime minister’s wife, Rosmah is president of Bakti, the association of ministers’ wives.

As the election is expected to be held soon, Rosmah urged her fellow Bakti members to spread the word that if Barisan Nasional was given the chance to rule again, the party would strive harder for the people.

In her speech today, she also highlighted on the increasing role of women in various job sectors, education and politics.

“In politics, women have become the backbone for BN with Wanita Umno, Wanita MIC, Wanita MCA and Wanita Gerakan all playing an important role, moreover as the election will be approaching soon.”
