Deputy minister Jailani dropped, Rosol steps in

Jailani Johari left out, Rosol Wahid is named

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Barisan Nasional has dropped deputy communications minister Jailani Johari from its Terengganu slate.

Instead, a “comeback candidate”, Rosol Wahid, will be nominated for the Hulu Terengganu parliamentary constituency.

Rosol Wahid was Ajil Assemblyman for three terms from 1999 to 2013.

Terengganu Umno leader Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman announced the BN list of nominees today. He will seek re-election in Seberang Takir.

Among those on the list are former senior officers in the civil service, such as former Terengganu State Secretary, Wan Nawawi Wan Ismail, being fielded in Kuala Terengganu, and motivational expert Tengku Asmadi Tengku Mohamad in Kuala Nerus. Both are parliamentary seats.

BN’s rival Ahmads both fielded in Terengganu
