GUA MUSANG: Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah is defending the Gua Musang parliamentary seat he has held since 1974 in a three-cornered contest in the 14th general election on May 9.

The 81-year-old leader’s electoral opponents are Abdullah Hussein of PAS and Mohd Nor Hussin of Pakatan Harapan.

In the last general election in 2013, Tengku Razaleigh retained the seat with a majority of 8,413 votes in a straight fight with Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah of PAS.

The three state seats within Gua Musang – Nenggiri, Paloh and Galas – will also see three-cornered fights among the BN, PAS and PKR.

Ab Aziz Yusoff of BN, who was the assemblyman for Galas, is standing in Nenggiri and faces Md Sidek @ Mohd Saupi Ab Razak of PAS and Othman Yusoff of PKR.

Paloh will see a contest among Amran Ariffin of BN, Azman Ahmad of PAS and Noraini Husain of PKR.

Galas will be contested by Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim of BN, Suhaimi Mat Deris of PAS and Nasir Dollah of PKR.

The BN had swept clean the four seats in the last general election, making the constituencies its strongholds in Kelantan.
