MUAR: The incumbent for the Muar parliamentary seat, Razali Ibrahim, today accepted PKR candidate Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman’s challenge to a debate.
Razali said he had no problem accepting the challenge if the debate would bring good to Muar constituents.
“As the incumbent MP, it is my job to serve the people.
“If the debate is beneficial and will bring good to them, then just tell me where and when,” he told reporters after attending a community programme with the residents and fishermen in Sungai Balang near here today.
However, Razali said he had yet to receive any formal invitation to the debate from the young PKR candidate.
On Monday, Syed Saddiq was reported to have challenged Razali to a debate on which party the people should pick to lead the federal government in Putrajaya come polling day.
Syed Saddiq also extended the challenge to the PAS candidate contesting for the Muar seat, Abdul Aziz Talib.
