KOTA KINABALU: The drama in Sabah keeps getting more and more interesting, with new twists every few hours. The latest intriguing event is a meeting between two Barisan Nasional elected representatives and Warisan head Shafie Apdal today.

It is all the more significant because Sabah BN chairman Musa Aman was sworn in as the chief minister less than 24 hours ago.

Muis Picho, who won the Sebatik state seat, and Hamisa Samat, the winner of the Tanjong Batu seat, both of Umno, arrived at the Parti Warisan Sabah president’s house here about 12pm.

They were whisked by aides through the backyard and into a private room where they are believed to have held talks with Shafie.

Both left his residence about 2.15pm.

Meanwhile, Shafie said the Warisan-Pakatan Harapan pact did not recognise the newly established Sabah government.

“The new government is not valid because they did not get the full mandate of the people to form the government,” he said.

He also kept the media guessing as to his next move, saying, “wait and see …there’s always surprises in politics”.
