PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today said he will take charge of the education ministry, while Deputy Prime Minster Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail will be women’s affairs minister.
This was announced at a press conference after a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting at the PPBM headquarters at Menara Yayasan Selangor today.
Former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner Mohd Shukri Abdull meanwhile will helm the anti-graft agency.
Today’s announcement brings the number of Cabinet positions announced so far to five.
Last Saturday, Mahathir announced Lim Guan Eng as finance minister, Muhyiddin Yassin as home minister and Mohamad Sabu as defence minister.
