Saifuddin: Projects under review doesn’t mean they’ll be cancelled

Saifuddin Abdullah says the profits of the mega projects should benefit the state and people, and attract investors.

KUANTAN: Pakatan Harapan secretary-general Saifuddin Abdullah says mega projects being reviewed by the government will not necessarily be cancelled, including the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.

“This is to ensure that projects which are continued will abide by the laws and regulations set by the government.

“Existing projects which have the potential to be continued also have many issues which need improvement,” he added.

Saifuddin, who is also Indera Mahkota MP, was speaking to reporters at a community programme in Kampung Balok, Jalan Kuantan-Pelabuhan here yesterday.

He said the mega projects were being reviewed to ensure the profits would benefit the state and locals, as well as attract investors.
