PETALING JAYA: Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd CEO Nazrin Hassan died from smoke inhalation after his home in Mutiara Damansara caught fire earlier today.

The Star Online quoted a family friend as saying that Nazrin had taken medication after complaining of a migraine in the afternoon.

He then went to bed but the bed had somehow caught fire later.

The Fire and Rescue Department said it received a report at 12.30pm and despatched two fire engines and 14 firemen to the scene.

They arrived 15 minutes later and the fire was finally put out at 12.53pm.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

Nazrin, 45, is married to the daughter of International Movement for a Just World (JUST) founder and president Chandra Muzaffar. The couple has four children.
