KUALA LUMPUR: The remains of former Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd CEO Nazrin Hassan will be reburied on Friday once the second post-mortem is complete, the Inspector-General of Police revealed.
“The remains were sent for a second post-mortem at 4pm yesterday,” Mohamad Fuzi Harun told reporters after attending an event at the police training centre here.
Yesterday, Selangor police confirmed that Nazrin’s remains were exhumed from the Section 9 Muslim Cemetery in Kota Damansara near here. It was then taken to the University Malaya Medical Centre.
Nazrin, 45, died in a fire that broke out at his two-storey house in Mutiara Damansara on June 14.
Police reclassified Nazrin’s death as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code on Aug 3, following a forensic investigation report by the Fire and Rescue Department.
Nazri’s widow, Samirah Muzaffar, had applied to postpone the exhumation, but it was dismissed by the Court of Appeal.
