Zahid at MACC over welfare foundation

PUTRAJAYA: Former deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here to assist in the investigation into welfare foundation Yayasan Akal Budi.

He arrived in a white Lexus SUV at 9.20am.

This is the third time the Umno president has been questioned by MACC in the investigation.

Zahid is the chairman of the foundation. Records show that it was registered in 1997 to receive and administer funds to eradicate poverty.
