Dr M’s overseas trips cost RM6.3 mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his delegation spent RM6.3 mil on eight official visits since Pakatan Harapan came to power, the Dewan Rakyat was told.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Liew Vui Keong said the cost was in accordance with the Parliament Act 1980.

“The expenditure includes officers who escorted during each visit with the prime minister,” he said in a written reply to PAS’ Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Since being sworn-in as the seventh prime minister last May, Mahathir has visited Indonesia, China, Brunei, United States, United Kingdom and Japan.
