KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet under former prime minister Najib Razak was never informed that businessman Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, was present at 1MDB’s board meeting, said Khairy Jamaluddin.

“Najib never informed the ministers about Jho Low, many matters on 1MDB were not conveyed to the ministers,” the former youth and sports minister said when asked about the matter at the Parliament lobby today.

Auditor-General Madinah Mohamad in a statement dated Nov 24 revealed that the final report on the 1MDB audit was altered, including on the presence of Jho Low at a 1MDB board meeting.

This was allegedly done on the instructions of the former prime minister and his former principal private secretary.

“The auditor-general’s report must be transparent and impartial. If it is true that there were instructions to erase (the mention of Jho Low), this is serious and disappointing,” Khairy added.
