Stop being ‘hitman’ for PH if you want to be minister, Shahidan tells Rayer

Veteran Umno member Shahidan Kassim says in any mafia organisation, there are hitmen and asked RSN Rayer to take heed of his advice.

KUALA LUMPUR: Outspoken MP RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) was today given tips on how to become a minister.

Veteran Umno member Shahidan Kassim said he loved Rayer and would like to see him achieve greater heights in his political career.

But he told the lawyer that he had to stop behaving like Pakatan Harapan’s hitman if he wanted to go up the political ranks like Gobind Singh Deo.

Shahidan, who is Arau MP, said Rayer should not allow himself to be used by anyone as a hitman.

He told Rayer that in any “mafia” organisation, there were hitmen.

“I hope YB Jelutong won’t be a hitman forever. You should be wiser like a judge. In time, you will become a minister,” he said at the Dewan Rakyat.

He said otherwise, Rayer would continue to be used to “whack us and not get any other position for the rest of his life”.

“Rayer will lose out. He is a lawyer but he is out to whack us always,” Shahidan added.

Hearing this, Rayer said he had a lot of respect for Shahidan.

Shahidan stated that Gobind Singh Deo had now become communications and multimedia minister.

“He was very fierce before this. Now he is very steady. Puchong (Gobind) has also now made efforts to speak with us at the Dewan Rakyat lobby,” said Shahidan.

Today, Rayer had asked reasons for MIC vice-president C Sivarraajh’s presence in the Dewan Rakyat despite the Cameron Highlands seat being nullified by the Elections Court recently.

Speaker Mohamed Ariff Md Yusuf had then asked Sivarraajh to leave the Dewan Rakyat immediately until the MIC representative could prove that he had a stay order from the court, pending his appeal.
