GENTING HIGHLANDS: Fugitive Low Taek Jho is still at large, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) said, after they met with authorities in China in the effort to locate the businessman.

Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun did not give details of the meeting but said efforts to locate the Malaysian, commonly known as Jho Low, are still underway.

‘’The police are also communicating with Interpol and the status is the same,’’ he said after a meeting between PDRM and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department here today.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the government would continue going after the fugitive although it was difficult.

Jho Low, identified by investigators from Malaysia and the United States as the main character in the multi-billion 1MDB scandal, is believed to have escaped from detention in Hong Kong to an island near Macau.
