PPBM going to Sabah, source says

PETALING JAYA: PPBM has agreed to spread its wings to Sabah, following a meeting held by top party leaders today.

It is understood that the decision, which might upset its partner Warisan which previously expressed concern over such a move, was unanimous.

A source within the party told FMT that some 80,000 people were expected to join the new chapter.

“This is the initial number, but it is expected to grow much bigger,” said the source.

FMT has also learnt that party president Muhyiddin Yassin will have direct control of the “shape and form” of Sabah PPBM.

“This is to stop any attempt at subverting the party’s objectives and struggles,” the source added.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad is expected to announce the decision today.
