Jakoa man wrote my speech, says tok batin who praised PH in Semenyih speech

Orang Asli community leader Aleh Abdullah spoke at an event organised by Pakatan Harapan in Semenyih, but says his speech was not written by him.

SEMENYIH: An Orang Asli community leader in Semenyih who stumbled during his speech in support of Pakatan Harapan at an event in Semenyih today said the speech was prepared by an officer of the Department of Orang Asli Development (Jakoa).

Aleh Abdullah told reporters that the speech he delivered at the event in Kampung Sungai Lalang Baru, which was attended by PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin and Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin, was given to him by one “Cik Dollah”.

He however did not say whether he was instructed to read the speech.

“He wrote it, I just followed,” the 53-year-old tok batin said.

As he began his speech, Aleh appeared to be lost for words, before he took out a piece of paper from his pocket and continued speaking.

Some 50 members of the Orang Asli community had attended the event.

Aleh claimed he had also come up with some parts of the speech.

“But he wrote it. If I had written it, it would sound childish,” he said.
