KUALA LUMPUR: A former Barisan Nasional MP who joined PPBM last year has urged the government to come down hard on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, saying they were practising “dirty” sexual behaviour.
Noor Azmi Ghazali (PH-Bagan Serai) also gave the analogy of a house to describe homosexual sex, which he said was to blame for HIV cases.
“I liken it to building a house. We make a door at the front, we make sure the door is beautiful, we paint it, carve it and spray it with air freshener.
“Why would we then want to go through the back door? The back door is dirty, it is not appropriate and smelly,” he told Dewan Rakyat during a debate on the Agong’s speech.
Noor Azmi also said the government must control the LGBT population, adding that their presence would invite God’s wrath.
