PUTRAJAYA: The foreign ministers of Malaysia and the Netherlands will meet here tomorrow to discuss the downing of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH17.

Netherlands Foreign Minister Stef Blok will undertake a one-day working visit to Malaysia tomorrow and is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Malaysian counterpart, Saifuddin Abdullah, said Wisma Putra.

Apart from MH17, both ministers are also expected to discuss various issues of mutual interest, including the Joint Exploratory Diving Mission, palm oil, Malaysia-European Union Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, Asean and Brexit, it said.

“This visit is expected to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and reflect the long-standing relations between Malaysia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands,” said Wisma Putra in a statement today.

The MH17 jetliner was shot down over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014 while flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, with all 298 people onboard killed.

Wisma Putra said Malaysia and the Netherlands also aimed to increase cooperation in new areas.
