KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes today launched his autobiography in Bahasa Malaysia entitled, “Terbang Tinggi”.
In the book, Fernandes, who co-founded AirAsia in 2001, talks about his trials and tribulations in starting the airline and transforming it into a success story today.
The English version, entitled “Flying High”, was published in 2017. Fernandes said it took him four years to write the book.
The book was published by Grup Buku Karangkraf and was launched during the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2019 today.
Terbang Tinggi talks about perseverance and determination. It follows Fernandes’s dream of starting an airline and transforming AirAsia into a multi-billion dollar company.
“Dreams can be realities if you dare to dream. I hope this book will encourage and inspire all Malaysians to pursue their true passion just like I did,” said Fernandes.
The book retails at RM35 and will go on sale in major bookstores in Malaysia next month.
