KUALA LUMPUR: Police nabbed two men and seized 10,100g of syabu (methamphetamine) worth RM500,000 at a hotel in Cheras here four days ago.

“Police also seized a car belonging to the two men. The suspects have been remanded for six days, from April 22,” Kuala Lumpur police chief Mazlan Lazim told a press conference today.

He said the case was being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. He said police believed the suspects had been actively involved in the distribution of methamphetamine drugs in the Klang Valley.

“We believe they have been trying to expand their connection to East Malaysia as they had been processing the drugs at a house in Saujana Putra.”

He said the two suspects would usually meet their customers at hotels.
