PKR hopes police probe against Sg Siput MP will be ‘fair and diligent’
Party promises to take disciplinary action if police investigations find the allegations are true.
KUALA LUMPUR: PKR will take disciplinary action against Sungai Siput MP S Kesavan if allegations of a sexual nature are upheld by police investigations, the party’s Central Leadership Council said today.
The council said PKR took a serious view of media reports on the matter.
“PKR has taken note of the police reports made by both parties regarding the matter. We are also aware that the police have begun their investigations into this,” it said.
The statement said PKR fully supported the police investigation and hoped the process will be done fairly and diligently.
Last week, a woman, who claimed to be a former assistant and former Sungai Siput PKR treasurer, lodged a police report in Selangor on alleged sexual harassment by Kesavan since the end of last year.
