Jaafar Jalman, 49, had gone for a drive on Sunday and was found dead with stab wounds to his neck and chest yesterday.
His body was found face down in a drain behind a store at Fajar town by a passer-by at about 6pm.
Umbuas said Jaafar’s wife told police he had closed his stall at Kampung Titingan at about 12.30am on Sunday and had gone for a drive alone in his car.
“He told his wife he just wanted to go out for a drive. He did not have a mobile phone, and his car has yet to be found,” he said.
He said no personal documents were found on the body.
