Fresh videos greet Azmin’s denial

PETALING JAYA: More video clips and photographs have surfaced almost immediately after Mohamed Azmin Ali denied he is the person in video clips of two men engaging in homosexual acts.

The latest videos appear to be parts of the same footage, which Azmin has condemned as an attempt to kill his political career.

FMT cannot independently verify the identity of the pair, although Muhammad Haziq Aziz, an aide to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin had allegedly claimed he was one of the two men seen in the viral video clips.

Haziq, who is also the Santubong PKR Youth chief, is also said to have identified the PKR deputy president as the second person featured in the clips.

Azmin, in denying that he was the person in the clips, had earlier described it as “a nefarious plot” to assassinate his character and damage his reputation.

The economic affairs minister claimed that judging from recent political developments, the sex tape was the latest in a series of concerted attempts to vilify him.

This included, he said, threatening his family’s safety and “vile and baseless accusations of corruption”.

The Gombak MP said he had since instructed his lawyers to take legal action against those who made the “abominable allegations” as well as against others.

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has since condemned those behind the videos targeting Azmin.
