Dr M says sex videos cooked up by those with political agenda

SHAH ALAM: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the videos showing two men engaging in homosexual acts were “cooked up” by those with a political agenda.

He said the videos were planned and anyone could produce such videos.

“I don’t think this is true. You can produce this type of pictures if you are clever enough.

“One day you may see my picture too … that would be very funny,” he told the media after a fund-raising dinner for PPBM here.

Mahathir also said he had met Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali today.

“Don’t tell me he would be so stupid to do this.

“This is cooked up by someone with a political agenda,” he said when asked further if the Cabinet would take any action against the minister implicated in the video.

He said those who cannot fight against those who had won should not resort to such tactics.

“It is dirty. They (those with a political agenda) cannot win this way. This is dirty,” he added.

Mahathir said he had spoken to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim yesterday morning but he was not aware of the issue then.

“Only this morning, I came to know about this issue.”

He also said Muhammad Haziq Aziz, an aide to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, had shown no shame and was doing this deliberately.

“It is deliberate. If it was not, why would he confess? Normally, someone in that position would be ashamed. This guy is not.

“‘I am the one. I am the one who did it with the minister,’ he says. What does that tell you?” he added.

Earlier, more video clips surfaced almost immediately after Azmin denied he was the person in the video clips.

The latest videos appear to be part of the same footage, which Azmin has condemned as an attempt to kill his political career.

FMT cannot independently verify the identity of the pair, although Haziq had allegedly claimed he was one of the two men seen in the viral video clips.

Haziq, who is also the Santubong PKR Youth chief, is also said to have identified the PKR deputy president as the second person featured in the clips.
