Sarawak PPBM aims to have 30,000 members by year end

KUCHING: Sarawak PPBM aims to get at least 30,000 members by the end of the year.

Its “war room” director Zakaria Bujang told a press conference today it now had 10,700 members.

“We will continue to recruit more members to strengthen the party in Sarawak,” he said.

He said the Registrar of Societies (RoS) had approved the establishment of six PPBM divisions in Sarawak, namely Samarahan, Stampin, Sri Aman, Saratok, Bintulu and Santubong.

He said the party had submitted another request to the RoS for the establishment of divisions in Sibuti, Hulu Rejang, Bandar Kuching, Julau, Limbang and Mukah.

The party wants to establish one division in each of the 31 state constituencies.

On the appointment of the Sarawak PPBM chief, he said the central leadership had yet to announce it.
