PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 petrol will go up by another 4 sen at midnight, marking the second consecutive week its price has increased.
RON97 will sell at RM2.53 per litre instead of RM2.49 until July 12.
Last week, the price of RON97 shot up by 11 sen.
Meanwhile, the prices of RON95 and diesel remain unchanged, the ministry said.
The price of RON95 remains at RM2.08 per litre and for diesel at RM2.18 per litre.
The government has been subsidising fuel prices to alleviate the cost of living of the people and to stabilise prices, the ministry said.
It will spend RM99.53 million in subsidies to rein in the price of fuel for this coming seven-day period.
