DAP man says MPs, senators should not be in GLCs

KUALA LUMPUR: A Penang DAP leader has urged the government not to appoint members of both the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara to important posts in government-linked companies and agencies.

RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) was responding to Che Abdullah Mat Nawi (PAS-Tumpat) who pointed out that there were politicians from the ruling coalition in government agencies, such as Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (Kada).

“So I want to know what the government plans to do to ensure such incidents are not repeated,” he told the Dewan Rakyat when debating amendments to the Companies Bill 2019.

Kelantan PH chairman Husam Musa is the current Kada chairman.
