The Perak state exco member said he was “shocked and baffled” by the allegation.
“I hereby unequivocally and categorically deny the allegation. I reiterate that I have never raped or sexually assaulted her.
“While maintaining my total innocence, I have given my full cooperation to the police and brought witnesses to assist police in the their investigation to show that the allegation is false.
“I believe that the truth will prevail,” said Yong.
Perak police arrested Yong last night following a police report filed by an Indonesian woman in Ipoh.
