KUALA LUMPUR: Some 80 people, believed to be PKR members, gathered outside the Dang Wangi police station tonight in solidarity with Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, who remains in police custody over a gay sex video implicating a federal minister.

Farhash, who is also the political secretary to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, was nabbed by police on July 16.

The group, led by Perak PKR deputy chairman MA Thinakaran, gathered outside the police station at about 8pm, carrying placards that read: “Kami Bersama Anda” (We are with you).

Farhash, who is also the PKR Perak chief, was among nine people remanded by the police along with Haziq Aziz, the individual at the centre of the controversial videos.

Haziq, the former Santubong PKR Youth chief, shocked the nation when he admitted that he was one of the two men filmed engaging in homosexual acts.

He named PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali as the second person, an allegation the economic affairs minister denies.
