UK paper highlights doubts about paternity of Oksana’s son
Russian beauty divorced by Kelantan sultan posts new photos and says her son has Malaysian blood.
PETALING JAYA: A British newspaper has highlighted doubts about the paternity of a child born to Russian beauty queen Rihana Oksana Gorbatenko, who is reported to have been irrevocably divorced by Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan.
The Daily Mail report also said that Rihana Oksana had published two new photographs of her and her son Leon on Instagram today, saying “I am so proud that Malaysian Blood flows in the veins of my son. Today Leon is two months old. Keep growing and be happy, my little world.”
Last week, Singapore lawyer, Koh Tien Hua, representing the sultan, had said in a letter to the Straits Times that “There is no objective evidence as yet as to the biological father of the child.”
Koh’s letter said that Rihana Oksana had been irrevocably divorced by pronouncement of three talak on June 22. She had been informed through her lawyers Alexander Dobrovinsky & Partners of Russia and a copy of the divorce certificate given to her, Koh said.
The divorce certificate was issued by the Kelantan Shariah Court on July 1 in accordance with the Islamic Family Law Enactment 2002, Koh said.

However, Rihana Oksana has denied any knowledge of the divorce and said she was in Russia with her child. “We were not in Singapore in June for any divorce proceedings. This is an act of provocation; we have never been divorced,” she told Malaysiakini.
