Road rage leaves one dead, cops probing case for murder

The road rage incident happened at the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway yesterday evening.

PETALING JAYA: A road rage incident along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway yesterday evening left one driver dead.

Police are investigating the case for murder.

Based on a police report sighted by FMT, the victim, 29, and the suspect, 41, got into an argument after the former had almost crashed into the suspect’s car.

The cars collided after they tailed each other for a short distance. The victim, from Shah Alam, is said to have brandished a baseball bat and began hitting the bonnet of the suspect’s car.

The suspect is said to have panicked and stepped on the accelerator, ramming the victim and sending him flying onto a divider.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in Nilai where he died.

According to Astro Awani, the suspect, from Seri Kembangan, and his wife, who is in her 30s, have been arrested to facilitate investigations.

Police are urging the public with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Siti Aisyah Saad at 016-406 4202 or to go to the nearest police station.
