PETALING JAYA: Police have named Farhash Wafa Salvador, the political secretary to PKR’s chief Anwar Ibrahim, as one of the suspects involved in a fight on Saturday.

In a statement, Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat said Farhash has been asked to come forward to assist in the investigations.

He said the fight took place at Arena All Stars Sports Complex in Taman Dagang Permai, Ampang, and involved 12 to 14 men.

Fadzil said the trouble began when the victim was confronted by a man about 9pm and a jostling match ensued. The complex management then asked both of them to leave the area.

The victim went to the motorcycle parking area outside the sports complex and was confronted by a group of 10 men.

Fadzil said the victim was attacked with a helmet, knife and chair. He was injured in the waist and groin.

He said three of the victim’s friends later came to his aid.

When contacted, Farhash denied any involvement in the incident.

“It’s fake. It was not me” he said.

He was asked to comment on a text message that went viral alleging that he was detained in relation to a fight in Ampang.

The text message, through WhatsApp, further alleged he had beaten a man.

In a later statement, Farhash said the complainant had once attempted to sexually assault his wife two years ago.

He said the complainant was arrested and faced trial.

Farhash said he was willing to give his full cooperation to the police if need be.
