PETALING JAYA: PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution said that there will be no disciplinary action yet against Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador, who is currently sought by police to assist in investigations into a fight that broke out at a sports complex last Saturday.
“Our stance is the same. Whatever matter that is within the jurisdiction of police, we’ll leave it to the investigators.
“There won’t be any party action on the matter yet,” he told reporters after delivering a closing address at an anti-corruption forum organised by the International Strategy Institute (ISI) this evening.
The fight, involving about a dozen men, took place at the Arena All Stars Sports Complex in Taman Dagang Permai, Ampang.
Farhash, who has denied involvement in the incident, said he was willing to give his full cooperation to the police if needed.
Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat had said police had failed to trace him.
Police said three suspects, who are Muay Thai trainers, had turned themselves in for questioning.
Meanwhile, Saifuddin added that disciplinary action against members under police investigation would be dealt with “case by case”.
He said in the past, the party only took action or made decisions after the person was charged, convicted or the appeal process had been completed.
