‘Woman in blanket’ murder suspect surrenders

KUALA LUMPUR: A man is being held for investigations into the murder of a woman whose body was found wrapped in a blanket in an apartment in Prima Damansara, Petaling Jaya, last Wednesday.

He surrendered himself to the police today. Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat said the suspect came to the Tampin headquarters in Negeri Sembilan at 1.30am.

A remand order for the 40-year-old suspect has also been issued this morning to facilitate further investigation into the case, Fadzil said.

The woman’s blanketed body was found under a pile of pillows in the apartment last Wednesday. An initial investigation showed that the woman died of suffocation.
