KUALA TERENGGANU: Creative videos made by teachers which have been posted on YouTube are being collated by the education ministry in a special portal which will serve as a reference for the enhancement of teaching and learning.

Many teachers across the country have been sharing their knowledge and expertise through these videos, said the director of the Education Technology Resources Division, Shafruddin Ali Hussin.

He said such talent was very much needed to transform the ways of transferring knowledge to students.

The ministry had developed a portal or digital learning platform to serve as a repository for all teachers to share material which they had produced, he said. The site would function as a useful reference for everyone.

The ministry already has EduWeb TV and Google Classroom services on the Internet which pupils can access.

Shafruddin added a recent study of 10-year-old pupils had found that 93.9% of them had experience in using a smartphone and knew how to access digital learning platforms.
