Classes resume at all schools tomorrow as air pollution eases
Education Ministry says all schools are reminded to follow procedures and give priority to the health of pupils and teachers.
“Any changes or updates will be relayed from time to time,” it said in a statement.
“All schools have been reminded to abide by standard operating procedures and give priority to the health of pupils and teachers at all times.”
Classes were suspended at schools in Selangor and several other states on Thursday and Friday because of worsening haze pollution.
In areas with air pollution readings of over 100, schools have been asked to stop all outdoor activities. If pollution readings go past 200, the schools can suspend classes after reporting the matter to the state education department.
As of 7pm, there were no areas with an air pollution reading of over 200.
