GEORGE TOWN: Top cop Abdul Hamid Bador says Malay Dignity Congress chief organiser Zainal Kling will be called in for questioning for allegedly making statements that could incite racial tension.
“We will call whoever is concerned to give statements as soon as possible,” he said on the sidelines of an event here today.
“Sometimes we are cooperative because some people say, this week they are busy and they are only free the following week.
“We will take statements as they come,” he said when asked for updates on a police report lodged against Zainal by a Penang-based NGO.
The case is being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with the intent to provoke a breach of peace as well as Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 for abuse of internet services.
