SERDANG: Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin says over 2,000 copies of the banned “Belt and Road Initiative for Win Winism” comic book have been confiscated so far.

“Over 2,000 have been confiscated. But the exact number wallahualam (only God knows),” he told reporters after the home ministry’s 2019 family day.

The 164-page comic book was recently banned by the home ministry for promoting socialism and communism.

This came in the wake of reports that 2,500 copies in Bahasa Malaysia were distributed to school libraries.

The author of the book, former DAP member “Superman” Hew Kuan Yau, has been questioned by the police several times in the wake of protests.

The police, meanwhile, are working with historians to check the accuracy of historical facts in the book.
