KUALA LUMPUR: The managing director of an information technology consulting firm is to be interviewed by police for the second time over the display of a flag with a five-pointed star instead of the Jalur Gemilang during the opening ceremony of a basketball tournament here last month.

Mior Faridalathrash Wahid of federal CID said the man would be called up tomorrow to have his statements recorded at Dang Wangi police station.

The man had previously given his statements to police on Thursday.

Police have so far recorded statements from four people, including Lua Choon Hann, president of the Malaysian Amateur Basketball Association.

Several others , including some social media account owners, would be called up in the near future, Mior Faridalathrash said.

Nine police reports have been lodged after a video was widely shared online showing the flag with a five-pointed star being used at the opening ceremony of the Under-15 Lum Mun Chak Cup tournament on Nov 25.
