KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 137 kindergarten teachers attending a two-day course at a training centre in Cheras suffered food poisoning early today.

Four of them were sent to the emergency unit of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz after they complained of stomach ache, diarrhoea and vomiting, Kuala Lumpur Pusat Asuhan Tunas Islam (Pasti) deputy director Hafizudin Muhamed Nor said.

The others were given outpatient treatment.

Hafizudin said the teachers became ill from about 3am today after taking food prepared for them for dinner last night.

Those admitted were reported to be in stable condition, he said.
