KL residents furious over no display of draft structure plan 2040
They accuse authorities including the Federal Territories Ministry of wasting their time.
PETALING JAYA: A pressure group today accused Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Federal Territories Ministry of inefficiency after some 20 residents were told that the Draft KL Structure Plan 2040 could not be prepared in time as promised.
“DBKL and the FT ministry have already wasted one day of busy residents’ time out of the limited 4-6 day period allocated for display of the Draft Structure Plan, and this is just Day 1!” the Save Taman Rimba Kiara group said.
The residents from Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Sungai Penchala and Bukit Lanjan had arrived at the TTDI library at 9am, but found out that the display was not set up.
The group said DBKL officers were “equally in the dark”, adding that residents were later told that the problem was due to a “technical issue”.
“What does this Day 1 stumble indicate of the FT Ministry and DBKL’s attitude towards running a proper public process?” asked the group.
