Sabah PPBM wants Mahathir to remain as PM

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PPBM has expressed its support for Dr Mahathir Mohamad to continue as prime minister.

Its chief Hajiji Mohd Noor said Mahathir’s service and leadership were much needed to enable the country to continue with its development agenda and to manage the economy.

“Sabah PPBM fully supports Dr Mahathir to be appointed as the eighth prime minister of Malaysia for uniting the people, creating a stable government and continuing with the national development agenda.

“The most important thing now is the country needs Dr Mahathir to manage and improve our economy which is presently a bit gloomy following the country’s political upheaval and the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19),” he said here today.

Sabah PPBM has five MPs, namely Ronald Kiandee (Beluran), Azizah Mohd Dun (Beaufort), Abdul Rahim Bakri (Kudat), Zakaria Mohd Edris (Libaran) and Hafez Yamani Musa (Sipitang).

The Sulaman assemblyman said the country needed an outstanding leader like Mahathir to manage and put the country’s economy back on track in view of the current global economic conditions.
