New Johor exco members sworn in

JOHOR BAHRU: Ten members of the Johor state executive council took their oath before Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar at Istana Bukit Serene today.

The Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, also attended the swearing-in ceremony.

Johor Menteri Besar Hasni Mohammad was also present.

The exco members sworn in were four Umno assemblymen – Samsolbari Jamali (Semarang), Ayub Jamil (Rengit), Zaiton Ismail (Sungai Balang) and Onn Hafiz Ghazi (Layang-Layang) – and MIC assemblyman R Vidyananthan (Kahang).

Also sworn in were four PPBM assemblymen – Mazlan Bujang (Puteri Wangsa), Mohd Solihan Badri (Tenang), Tosrin Jarvanthi (Bukit Permai) and Mohd Izhar Ahmad (Larkin) – and independent assemblyman Dr Chong Fat Full (Pemanis).

Hasni, 61, was sworn in as the 18th menteri besar before Sultan Ibrahim on Friday.
